CPEHR, CPHIE, CPHIT, and CPORA EXAMINATIONS

The certification exam for the CPEHR contains 100 multiple choice items from all ten domains in the CPEHR common body of knowledge (C-I to C-IV and E-V to E-X). Candidates have 2 hours in which to complete the exam. A passing score of 70 percent must be achieved to earn the CPEHR credential.

The certification exam for the CPHIE contains 100 multiple choice items from all ten domains in the CPHIE common body of knowledge (C-I to C-IV and HIE-V to HIE-X). Candidates have 2 hours in which to complete the exam. Individuals who achieve a passing score of at least 70 percent on the CPHIE examination will receive the CPHIE credential.

The certification exam for the CPHIT contains 100 multiple choice items from all ten domains in the CPHIT common body of knowledge (C-I to C-IV and H-V to H-X). Candidates have 2 hours in which to complete the exam. Individuals who achieve a passing score of at least 70 percent on the CPHIT examination will receive the CPHIT credential.

The certification examination for CPORA contains 80 multiple choice items from all eight domains in the CPORA common body of knowledge (C-I to C-IV and ORA-V to ORA VIII). Candidates have 1.5 hours in which to complete the exam. Individuals will achieve a passing score of at least 70% of the CPORA examination will receive the CPORA credential.

Candidates will be notified of their results from the onsite seminars within six (6) weeks of the date of the exam. Candidates will be notified of their results from the online exams within 72 hours of taking the exam. Candidates who fail to achieve 70 percent may retake the exam upon payment of a discounted examination fee.
