Health IT Certification examinations may be taken online.

The certification exam for the CPEHR contains 100 multiple choice items from all ten domains in the CPEHR common body of knowledge (C-I to C-IV and E-V to C-X). Once a candidate has commenced the CPEHR certification examination online, he or she must complete the one hundred (100) question examination in one sitting within the two (2) hour time frame.

The certification exam for the CPHIT contains 100 multiple choice items from all ten domains in the CPHIT common body of knowledge (C-I to C-IV and H-V to H-X). Once a candidate has commenced the CPHIT certification examination online, he or she must complete the one hundred (100) question examination in one sitting within the two (2) hour time frame.

Upon completion of the examination online, the candidate will receive immediate notice of his/her score. If he or she passes the examination, successful completion of the examination will be communicated to Health IT Certification. If the candidate does not pass the certification examination, he or she may register to take the certification examination online at a discount of $100.
